  2. Take care of yourself.

    Most of the time, when moms are so dedicated to their newborn, they forget to take care of themselves. As a result, they get exhausted and sick. Prioritizing self-care can help you and your baby. At the end of the day, if you don’t take care of your health, you won’t be able to take care of your baby well. If you go down, everyone around you is going down with you.

  3. Breastfeed may be best, but formula is okay too.

  4. Don’t forget to sleep.

    When your baby sleeps, take the chance to give yourself the time for some power nap. Depriving yourself of sleep goes beyond a tired body, it can affect how you think. Without a proper state of mind, your ability to take care of your newborn can be compromised. Forget about other chores and try to sleep at least once a day.

  5. Keep yourself hydrated.

    Breastfeeding moms should make sure to take fluids to prevent dehydration. It is best to drink mostly water. If you want variety, you can squeeze a lemon or lime to add a bit of flavor.
